You are so right — time passes quickly indeed.

As the years progress, you’ll find that you’ll be having some of the most entertaining and delightful conversations with your daughter as you are driving here and there, and if you allow yourself, you’ll pick up some new music likes and dislikes as well.

Teenagers are energizing movers and shakers — they test their limits, and when we’re parenting creatively, we shift those limits a little further out each year. It’s a wild ride!

My second miscarriage was a missed one like your. I was 13 weeks when my baby finally passed but s/he had measured not even 6 weeks. I wasn’t sure what was worse, the fact that my body betrayed me into thinking all was well, or the fact that everyone trying to make me feel better would say the stereotype comments that only make you feel worse.
But I can only effect one of these, so in my attempt to spread awareness about miscarriage to the average bear, I found a list of “What not to say to someone after a miscarriage”. I’ve posted it on my blog, facebook, make a point of discussing it with people, and may end up turning it into a t-shirt. The last thing we need is people trying to make us feel better and making us feel worse than we do instead. I know they just want to help.

Wow, that is very disturbing. I mostly try to drink water and avoid juices and such because of the sugar. The fact that they may have lead, plus all the other stuff is def not good. Drinking water for health should be something that we take for granted and not have to worry about. I am glad I found your site and you are putting out some great information that will help your visitors!

A great deal of the lead in water is caused by the water disinfectant chloramine, a mix of chlorine and ammonia. Chloramine leaches lead from lead pipes and brass plumbing fixtures. High water lead levels are being found in many areas that use this disinfectant, which causes many other problems such as skin rashes, respiratory and/or digestive distress. As the oil spill in the Gulf grows larger and more deadly, decimating all that it touches, BP continues to turn down assistance from Americans who just want to help clean up the mess. (…I hear they even turned down Director James Cameron and actor Kevin Costner…)

First let’s get one thing perfectly straight: If you want to go and help clean up the oil spill, don’t let some corporate Big-Whigs “handle” you into believing that you’d be more of a liability, than an asset. I applaud you for recognizing that we all depend on our oceans for our very survival. It is this water that sustains every living thing on our planet, and it is also this water that we must protect in order to save ourselves from extinction.

BP has downplayed the problem in the Gulf from the beginning as a means of corporate damage control. I don’t think they’ve yet recognized the severity of the problem. As I’ve written in past blog posts; the pipe needs to be capped and the relief well needs to be drilled. It’s not an exact science by any means, and if BP doesn’t get it right the first time, they’ll have to do it over, and over, and over again, until they do. How many months (or years) will that take? How much damage will have been done to our environment by then? We’ve already seen what 51 days of oil can do to the Gulf of Mexico… What would happen if the oil was left, unabated, for several months, or years? It’s a frightening example of corporate greed gone awry and it’s criminal, pure and simple.

Corporations should never be allowed the opportunity to risk the lives of everyone on the planet just to make a profit for a few shareholders. (What good is money, after all, if you don’t have air to breathe, water to drink, or food to eat without fear of contamination?)

BREAKING NEWS: I’ve just heard that those enormous plumes floating just under the surface of the water have been certified by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (N.O.A.A.) as crude oil.

(Are we just casual witnesses to our own demise? I wonder…)

I thought Crystal Bowersox should have won it all. she was my pick from Hollywood to the end. Mike was 2nd and Lee 3rd, but when Lee & Mike dualled Lee propelled exceeding Mike. Crystal will highly succeed topping many charts and i!m sure Lee will do very well.
