Book Swap

5 Dec

Pookie is having a book swap for her winter party in a couple of weeks. This is a neat idea. We each have to buy a book for $5 or less and have each child write their name inside the book  then wrap it. The day of their party they will exchange books so each child will bring a new book home.

I reserved a copy of a Henry and Mudge book by Cynthia Rylant. Borders has an on-line check to see if a paticular book is in stores. This is great because I don’t have to go all over God’s green earth looking for a book. I found it. It will be reserved and I can pick it today or tomorrow.

Pookie loves her books. It was also on the book list for appropriate books for her class.

Drake did this in 1st grade and Dacia is doing it this year in preschool and I am Delaney’s room mom and was planning on doing it for their class party as well…it’s a great idea, they don’t need anymore toys or candy this time of year 🙂
This is what started Drake on the Magic Tree House series and he still reads them.
