Praying for the people of Chile

27 Feb

I just heard via my facebook friends that Chile had a 8.8 earthquake with almost 150 people so far dead. The entire pacific coast is under a tsunami warning. My prayers go out to those in Chile and for all those in the pacific that are awaiting another storm. May God’s protection be upon everyone of you in the path of this natural diseaster and those in Chile!

Daddy-Daughter Date

26 Feb

My husband took our three year old for a daddy-daughter date to Krispie Kreme Doughnuts. Doughnuts are a rare treat and since she had already had dinner dessert was the most logical option. I have the best hubby in the world. My dad used to take me on little dates too. Those are the most vivid memories I have of him. Since he has passed, I will alway remember our times together. Our oldest daughter is going tomorrow. She is really excited to spend this special time with him.

Health care summit

26 Feb

I think our President is delusional since the majority of the American people do not want this administration focusing on health care at this time. Yes, we need reform but this is not putting people back to work or putting food on the table. In my family if we exceed our budget there is no bailout your screwed. Why does the Gov’t not get this. Start focusing on JOBS and the reducing the deficit. Be responsible, eventially there will be no more money to borrow!

So I get this urgent email Tuesday for an emergency meeting at Church. My head starts swirling. I wait with anxiousness until Wednesday night. The tone was different from anything I have encountered before. Our pastor read a letter he had written. Tears start streaming down my face at the realization our beloved pastor was leaving. He started our church with 8 people almost 6 years ago and he was leaving. I was devestated. Some have taken joy in this and to them I say repent! These are people’s lives not to be taken lightly. So many people are hurting. It is causing division but I know our church will rise again and their is healing for us and our pastors.

We love you Pastors Troy and Machel!! You will always be in our hearts and prayers!

This song has really ministered to me by Kutless!! What faith can do!!!
