“I had an abortion and I hate myself” Kelly Clinger

20 Nov

A friend from church has an fantastic blog. She wrote this authentic post on having an abortion and the hatred she had for herself many years later. Her post was featured here on lifesite.

I have never had an abortion and I have been prolife most of my life.  I have compassion for those who have had abortions. I think her story is amazing and a must read. It took courage to write out her testimony and share it with the world. I pray it will help you if you have struggled with or had an abortion. There is freedom in Christ with regard to shame and guilt.

Some 20 year olds worth knowing!

23 Jul
A friend posted this on her FB page but she got it from a former Marine and from there we do not know who the author of this awesome post is but it is so true. More people care about People Magazine or Entertainment Tonight then they do our country. They know more who the Bachelor or Bacherette of the season is but cannot tell you one person running for congress or even who the Vice President is. Every time I turn the TV on they are talking about Mel Gibson and Lindsy Lohan. Both deserve to go to jail. They screwed up. Do I really have to hear about them every single night when our brave men and women are putting their lives on the line so we can have freedom and protection. Come on America this has got to stop.
“can’t believe the news coverage given to a spoiled 20-year old. Here are a few 20 year-olds worth knowing: Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21,Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson 21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, ..Christopher Goeke 23, & Sheldon Tate 27. These 20-somethings gave
their lives for you this week.”

These are my heroes and these are people worth knowing! Thank you to all of you who serve and have served. Thank you to our military families as well. You also sacrifice so much for our country!

Happy 4th of July!

2 Jul

I  stop and give thanks to God for our wonderful country! I also want to thank all of those who have in the past or who are currently serving in our military. You are the reason we celebrate freedom today.

Thank you for you courageous sacrifice and service to our great country!

Privacy Act

28 Aug

It is interesting that the ACLU and the liberal Democrats want to protect terrorists from invasion of privacy but crafted a bill that would would not protect our financial records and health records from being shared across government agencies. This is a total violation of my privacy and yours. I urge you to read this bill and I pray that congress would wake up and read it too.

CBS broke this story a day or two ago but unless you listen to Fox news or CBS you will never know it. Here is the details and story on our invasion of privacy.

Journalist Freed

5 Aug

Praise Jesus that these two women were freed. I don’t know what former President Clinton had to give North Korea to get these ladies freed, but I am so glad they are. Thank you former President Clinton!

Here is the full story.

National Day of Prayer

7 May

As we close this day, I want to thank God for our country. I want to thank God for all the brave men and women who serve our country. Our policemen, fire fighters, EMTs, nurses, doctors and teachers. I thank God for the freedom to worship him. I thank God for my family and my life. There is so much to be thankful for today and so much to pray for as our country continues to be divided and so many people without work. I pray for all those who are suffering with illness, unemployment, financially, with relationships. God is our peace, our hope, our joy and I thank him and praise Him. He is the only one that can help us overcome and obtain victory.

As you look back on this day, praise him for all that you have. Pray for our leaders and everyone in your life.
